The Shimmering Sands is the area of desert in the southern Summerlands. It is divided into western and eastern areas, the Eastern area being much smaller and comprising the desert East and Northeast of Al Mamoon. The creature habitat also includes Golden Grove - South which is home to Sore Boar and Crowhawk; they do not venture into the desert. There are some minor differences in creature distribution across the desert area, Lightshades live only in the eastern region, while Boneheads and Clubber Cubs live in the west as well as Golden Grove south.
