The Creature Cage is a part of the Main Menu interface. You gain access to it when you get your first Familiar. You get your first Familiar after using the Form Familiar spell that Old Father Oak gives you.
What to Do Here[]
You may feed your Familiar treats. Each treat has a number of squares that determine how much of the stat meter will fill up and a fullness. At the same time, the Familiarity level will rise up, providing bonuses as each heart becomes full.
If a Familiar is too full from consuming treats, start a few battles to decrease their fullness.
Chocolate affects attack.
Flan affects defense.
Cake affects magical attack.
Sundae affects magical defense.
Pie affects accuracy.
Ice cream affects evasion.
You may also feed your Familiar a Gem (provided that it is compatible. See Trick List for a list of Familiars sorted by Trick type for Gem compatibility). Gems provide new Tricks to Familiars or help them learn Tricks much earlier. When making room for other Tricks, consider the Tricks a Familiar already knows that can be found in a Gem. An example is choosing a Familiar to forget the Trick "Blunt" in favor of a Trick that is not found in a Gem. This way, you can always relearn the forgotten Trick whenever you wish.
