A Miracle Move is a special move that the characters or your creatures perform if they catch a golden glim. A Miracle Move can deal massive damage to foes, inflict good ailments to allies or bad ones to enemies, or heal allies.
The odds of generating a gold glim vary. While normally attacking a foe does not generate gold glims, by exploiting elemental weaknesses, defending against a creature's trick, countering or even defeating a creature, a gold glim has a very low chance of spawning. Landing a critical hit on an opponent gives you a low chance of generating a gold glim, while defending against a boss' trick gives you a moderate chance of gaining gold glim.
The best chance of generating a gold glim is when the game considers you've made a good play, usually culminating in stunning a boss by exploiting its weakness.
Some miracle moves may have little to no effect against certain enemies, such as bosses that are resistant to Status Ailments such as Petrify.
